What contribution can IT solutions make?
We want to actively combat climate change with IT solutions. In particular, we can support research and industry with more sustainable solutions and ensure that more resource-efficient and climate-neutral IT ecosystems are created that do less damage to the planet than before.
Our criteria for an SDG project "Software for a better world"
13a - Increasing climate resilience:
The project supports companies or individuals in becoming more secure against the consequences of climate change, such as extreme temperatures or natural disasters, by providing information, promoting innovation in this area or strengthening infrastructure to counteract them.
13b - Action against climate change:
The project actively supports efforts to stop or slow down climate change, for example by drastically reducing emissions or supporting organizations whose stated goal is to stop climate change.
13c - Climate change education:
The project supports climate education and provides information or services with the aim of educating people about climate change and its consequences, or it supports individuals in their daily work in pursuing these goals.
13d - Research and innovation:
The project supports companies, institutions and organizations in their research into sustainable and resource-efficient processes or it supports them in implementing new sustainable and resource-efficient processes.
13e - Operational support to third parties:
The project supports companies and institutions, as well as other organizations such as charities or associations, in implementing their SDG goals by supporting employees in their daily work and simplifying, accelerating or introducing business-relevant, SDG-related processes.
