SDG 6

Clean Water and Sanitation

In 2022, 2.2 billion people still did not have access to safe drinking water, including 703 million without basic water services. The UN aims to ensure universal access to safe and affordable drinking water by 2030.

What contribution can IT solutions make?

IT solutions can make a significant contribution to combating water scarcity and improving the efficiency of water use. Smart IT systems make it possible to monitor water supplies and optimize their use so that less water is wasted. In addition, IT-based technologies can help to promote water recycling and ensure the protection of water catchment areas.
