What contribution can IT solutions make?
IT systems can help save lives by supporting doctors in their daily work, for example through systems that digitize healthcare processes or help with diagnostics.
Our criteria for an SDG project "Software for a better world"
3a - Fighting epidemics:
The project helps health organizations and initiatives to organize themselves, to inform, or to make services accessible in order to effectively fight or contain epidemics.
3b - Prevention and treatment of drug use:
The project supports the prevention of the dangers of drug use (including alcohol) and helps with the treatment of drug and alcohol addicts, or supports the implementation of these processes.
3c - Fewer traffic deaths:
The project supports the reduction of the number of accidents on the roads and thus the number of injuries or deaths from accidents.
3d - Access to universal health services:
The project supports efforts to ensure universal health care for citizens, to provide information about it, or to make it more accessible. This also includes health services in the area of family planning and sexual education.
3e - Fewer deaths and illnesses from chemicals and pollution:
The project helps to reduce the number of deaths and illnesses caused by chemical accidents, water and soil contamination, and other pollutants, or to warn and inform citizens in good time in the event of such a hazard.
3f - Support for research into medicines and vaccines:
The project supports companies in their research into new vaccines and medicines or in the production, testing, provision and distribution of medicines and vaccines.
3g - Training and support for medical professionals:
The project supports medical professionals in their training or in their daily work in the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of diseases.
3h - Operational support for third parties:
The project supports companies and institutions, as well as other organizations such as aid agencies or associations, in implementing their SDG goals by supporting employees in their daily work and simplifying, accelerating or introducing business-relevant, SDG-related processes.
